The Music of Life Podcast
Welcome to The Music of Life! I am your host, Caryn Portnoy. I'll guide you through a deeply personal journey of divorce, healing, self-discovery, and the universal power of music.
In this podcast, I open up about the challenging experiences of my own life—beginning with the raw reality of navigating a difficult, toxic divorce. This isn't about rehashing the past but about offering a sense of solidarity and support for those enduring similar hardships. Here, you'll find a space that values healing, where I share stories, insights, and moments of spiritual growth that carried me through the darkness.
But that’s only the beginning. The second part of the podcast will focus on spiritual growth. The third part of the podcast, we’ll talk about how music influences our relationships, our memories, and our passions. Whether it’s the soundtrack of a romance, the rhythm of a friendship, or the melody that reminds you of home, music touches every part of our lives.
If you're ready to be moved, inspired, and maybe even transformed, tune in to The Music of Life.

Hi everyone, and welcome to the music of Life. I'm your host. Caryn Portnoy.
in this podcast, I originally wanted to talk about music's influence on sex, love and relationships, but I had to put that on the back burner for a bit, and in the meantime, I spent the last three years getting divorced. It was really important to me to talk about this first because I really want to help others who are going through a very difficult, painful, toxic divorce as well.
So the first section will be about my divorce. I'll be sharing some stories, some experiences, things that I endured. And it's not to throw my ex under the bus. It's really so that people who are out there who are going through something similar, can relate to what I've been through. I know that there are so many people out there who are suffering just like I did.
My intention for this podcast is to help others, to help them see, to help them heal, to help them move on and grow as a person and put themselves back together and see a life for themselves ahead of them that they couldn't see before. The second part that I'll be talking about is spirituality and how that really saved me through a very, very difficult and painful time during my divorce. It was very helpful. It was very healing. It was incredibly healing, and I have so much to say about it.
And then lastly, the third section will be about my original idea, which was music's influence on sex, love and relationships. And I also want to talk about how music has narrated so much of our lives, that even through my divorce, even through all the spirituality. And then the last section, music has woven itself into the fabric of our life, and I can't wait to talk about that part.
